WP1: Coordination and Project Management
The overall objective of WP1 is to ensure a sound coordination and management of the project covering technical, administrative, legal, financial, quality and risk related issues, and the communications with the European Commission. The objectives of this Work Package are:

To ensure an appropriate management and coordination of the project that enables the communication between all project partners and members of the
       network

To manage and monitor the project progress in order to respect time and resource constraints and communicate fluidly with the project partners and the
       Commission Officers assigned to the project.
WP2: Olive waste availability. Phyas
The main aim of WP2 is to determine the amount of available olive waste that can be prepared to serve as an input to the synthesis process. This WP will consider the input in the adequate physical conditions for the chemical pretreatment, and for that reason WP2 has two separate parts: on one hand, the availability of the raw material, and on the other, the physical pretreatment.

Homogeneous output conditions from physical pretreatment of different raw materials and good mixing are of a capital importance for the correct running of the coming process.
WP3: Chemical pretreatment technology
Investigatigation and optimization of the gasification processes and downstream purification/ conversion technologies to convert the raw solid materials in a synthesis gas having a high purity and hydrogen content.
WP4: Development of technical solutions for SNG- diesel production
The objective of this Work Package is to develop novel catalysts for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis which will enhance the overall performance of the process. In the performance of the FT-catalyst, both the SNG-production and the Diesel production will be considered. Innovative technology will be applied to the synthesis process for which the catalyst will be optimized taking into account the structure of its support, the optimization of its composition and active sites distribution. Apart from this, an economical industrial medium will be developed for large-scale production of the catalyst.
WP5: Industrial application of the FFW system
The objective of this WP is to test the FFW project system in an industrial application based on the information obtained in Work Packages 2, 3 and 4. The performance of the developed innovations will be evaluated under standard working conditions. Those innovations will include the raw materials and the pretreatment, requiring purification systems after gasification, which will also aim to enhance the overall performance, and of course the newly developed catalysts for the synthesis processes.

On the other hand, overall efficiency of the project at industrial scale will also be demonstrated in this case, including equipment and fuel performance as the final product.
WP6: Life Cycle Assessment and Legislative Framework
The main objective of this Work Package is the environmental, social and economic evaluation, using LCA and ETV tools, of synthetic natural gas and diesel using the waste products of the olive industry as raw material, following FFW approach.

In the analysis, eco-efficiency indicators will be defined and evaluated. The data provided by different WP partners, as well as data collected by WP leader, will be processed and these indicators will be established once the set up and optimization of the “European Olive Industry Application of the FFW System” has been performed.
WP7: Business Models, Exploitation and Dissemination
The overall objective is to guide the project towards a viable exploitation strategy on a global scale by developing an Exploitation Plan covering:

Consortium exploitation plans, establishing guidelines to the commercial deployment of the FFW project results.

Market analysis, targeted partners and assessment of the competitive environment surrounding the project.

Business Models definition for the exploitation of the project’s main results. SMEs and industries will generate Business Models as advisers, consultants,
       installers and developers of FFW technology in the building area.

Project results, impact evaluation on economic, social, environmental and energy aspects.

IPR and Knowledge Protection Strategy.

Also, the dissemination of project results will cover:

An Awareness and Dissemination Plan deployment,

Education and training activities.
